The Artist - D S Mackie
- She graduated with a BA Hons in Printed Textiles from Dundee in 1986.
- After graduating, she undertook further studies in Milan and exhibited in London.
- She worked as a freelance designer for a major music company, working mainly on CD designs and company calendars
and promotional material.
- She worked within the Scottish and English education systems as a visiting art specialist.
- She was appointed Head of Art and Design in Buckinghamshire, where she established an A Level Art and Textiles
Department. This post included set design for theatre productions and overall responsibility for school presentations.
- Having been away from Scotland for a number of years, she jumped at the opportunity to return home with her husband
and son to Crail when the opportunity came!
- Working in a variety of media, her studies now reflect Scotland and the local environment.
- Examples of her work are held in private collections across the world.
